Hello Summer!

Summer is awesome! We do lots of fun stuff these days. We go to the park, we eat popsicles, we play in the sand, and it's a lot of fun to be outside, when the weather is nice. Brother is getting to look like a real baby, not just a little round creature. He got his first tooth yesterday, the same day Michael Jackson died. Memorable day for sure, we'll remember what his first tooth cost the world. :-)

I am a bit difficult these days, but I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone. Mom's trying a no spanking week, but today when I hit Ethan despite of multiple warnings and 'no's, she did spunk my hand. I think I'm not even sure why I do it. Mom is trying her best to divide attention and playtime between us, but I'm quite needy. (That needs to be changed...) I also throw food off the high chair again. One step forward, two steps back.

The accessories for potty training me are all geared up, and ready to go, but I'm not really. Mom thinks there is some issues with my poop,and so we're waiting a little bit and trying to be trying a dairy free diet... and even seeing a belly doctor for my frequent pooping. But in the meantime, I got Elmo panties and books, stickers, and so on.

What else is going on? The biggest news: DAD AND BAPA launched their first KIDS' IPHONE APP!!! It's called ABC 123 BLOCKS and it's great, I love it. They keep working on other apps too - I'm a pro app tester and a master of my abcs and numbers, thanks to them and the monkey on the little laptop I got from mommy a long time ago.

New year, new brother, new ME!

Hello there, everyone!

It's been quite a while since the last time I was here. Looking at the last entry, it was last August. Well, lots and lots of things happened since then. 

My beautiful and adorable little brother was born on December 8th in 2008. Our parents named him Ethan Victor. He was 6 lb and 7 oz and 18 inches and he came out 2 weeks earlier to be here for Christmas. I was there when he was born! Well, to be precise, I was playing upstairs with aunt Maki and grampa Andrew while mommy and daddy got him out of mommy's belly. I liked her belly. It got in the way of playing together and she couldn't pick me up for a while, but when she did, I got to sit on top of her belly. We took pictures with that belly. I understood that brother was in there, tho I never actually had the patience to wait long enough to feel him kick. He was very very busy in there, I even SAW a kick, but never waited long enough with my hands there. I liked when he was in mommy's belly, because he made her eat candy corn all the time and that was a lot of fun.

Since then, I've been learning a lot of things. Fist of all, I'm learning how to be a big sister and share.. It's hard. I don't get as much attention as I got before, and so I want it all the time. That drives mommy and daddy crazy. But I think my sassy and fussy age is also to blame for that - I'm almost 2! So, what do I like to do these days?

I like to make up my own words for things that I want frequently ('mi'-music, 'buyee'-bunny, 'da'-diaper, 'fi'-drink, 'be'-bath) and just about any word I can start. I say words like 'daddy' and 'mommy' clearly now. I also understand almost everything, including gestures and looks. I'm a little confused and taking this speaking thing slow, because I'm also learning Hungarian along with English. Huge thing is that I can recognize the whole entire English alphabet, thanks to long long play hours spent on my little toy laptop with the monkey teacher.

I also love to draw. I've been drawing on many things, like walls, tabletops, highchair, cutting board.. Mommy's trying to teach me how to draw things, but I like to experiment with colors and shapes on my own. I like how watercolors and markers feel and leave different marks on the paper.

I hang out with Zander and his baby brother Bitty a lot. He's almost 1 already! He is very cute, and it's easier to play with him, than to play with Zander. We're too much alike with our attitude and 2 years old sassiness.

There is quite a few things I can already do.

I can use a laptop. I can brush my teeth. I can own a closet and a room all my own. I also have a little brother getting ready for me for Christmas. Cool present from Santa, I think. 

I'm learning new things all the time. I figured out how to flush the toilet and that kitchen cabinets hide fun things like the steamer that changes shape and makes a funny noise on the floor. I also got to love the patio, my fear of height is almost all gone - that made mom happy initially tho. I like looking out the glass door and seeing the weather change. I still love being outside, and whenever we go to the playground I love watching other, older kids play and I imitate them. I mostly like way older kids than I am though. And they think I'm little and cute and so it's all okay that I actually am watching them and taking in everything carefully. They're naughty sometimes.. like I am when I know I'm making trouble, but I do it anyway. I do that when I touch all the outlets around the house and ran from one to the next, just so they chase me and I laugh. Or like when I pull and shake the window shades. Also, when I bang the pan on the vintage coffee table. 

But generally speaking I'm a good little girl, and I notice things. I sat in the stroller for about 5 hours when we went to see brother on the tv (ultrasound) and talked with the doctor. I was good then. I also snuggle, when mom uses that voice of hers and says 'gentle'. I do that with babies too. When I see a cute thing I say 'baibee'.

I'm great.

Here's what's happening around here:

• i went to see the pedi last Friday, here are my updates: 18 lbs 13 oz (4%'tile); Ht 30.5 in (60%'tile); HC 17.8 in (34%'tile) - and growing. I'm on red meat diet, to get more calories. I'm also advised to steer clear from anything low-fat, diet or such silly things. Just the real, good stuff for me please. ;)
• i can say things like baby, dada, hi and ba for bubble, but i understand a lot more
• i like Zander and his baby brother. Last weekend we had so much fun, we ate tons of blueberries together, did chalk, ran around and got into every mischief, took a bath together. And I checked out the baby, patted him, tried his pacifier and bottle with formula. He was something different I thought. 
• i still hate mommy and daddy's computer. I wish I could really get to it one time...
• i became a picky eater, a moody one actually. I'm not in the mood for certain foods sometimes, so mommy better have at least two meal options ready in case I'm in the mood for the other one.
• i have a treasure cabinet in the kitchen, where I like to hide things. The problem is, mommy knows about it.
• i tried on mommy's brown shoes for the first time. Those are my favorites, with the gold buckle. I also like her makeups, but I still haven't figured out how to open them.
• i like to stand in the door and watch daddy pee in the morning
• i'm a climber monkey, with some serious energy in my legs. When can I start dance classes??
