back to school

what a way to start a new school week! my ear infection came back and i feel baad. mommy picked me up today and took me to see my doctor. i have a high fever and i don't like the new antibiotic drink they gave me this time. so i didn't drink it. i think mom will keep it around in case i want it. well, i won't i already know.

diane, my pedi is very cool about kids. she told mama that's the way we, kids are. we get sick, a lot. like a lot. she also told her that comparing to others i'm not even a regular at the office. and she also said that we should wait until the 6th to 9th recurring ear infection before they put some tube into my ear... :( mom's face changed a little bit when she heard this.

anyway. i'm in my bouncy chair right now, it's also a massage chair with the vibration and i like it a lot when i'm sick. i always sleep in it then.

and i won't change my mind about that white thing in the container.

about my party

i think mom and dad really did their best to make my first birthday pretty for me. i had balloons and i had my own little cake with pink frosting and i got to sit on top of the table and eat it and destroy it the way i wanted. first i wasn't sure, but it tasted sweet and i like sweet...

lots of people came and i let zander taste my cake wreck.

i got very cool presents, so many, i was a little overwhelmed and mom and aunt kelsey and aunt maki helped me open them. i like what's inside the presents too, but i still like the wrapping more.

and when we left the party place and went outside, it turned into the prettiest spring weather! just like on the day when they took me home from the hospital after my 'real' birthday.

this door is located across from the 3 tiered parking lot that is on the corner of 3rd Ave. and 25th street

then take the elevator to the LL and turn left, the classroom we'll be on your right side, you won't miss it.

going thru old pics

Going thru old Budapest shots, mama found this one where Ivan, one of daddy's best friends holds me and - like much too often back in those days - I'm not too sure about him. I think it was taken at one of his favorite restaurants, some Kadar-era one where they still serve up soda water straight from the bottle with the pumping handle - I remember them getting my clothes wet and I got scared and everyone was laughing.

Anyway.
Speaking of the other sea, tonight we went to a Hungarian dance and folk night and I had a blast, like I usually do when the music is laud enough and there is a crowd to feel part of. I was practicing my walking, in shoes, and I went up to people and old kids and wanted to say 'hi'. Mama kept following me and even guarding me from some stormy big boys who did not care too much about my size. People were dancing in a big circle and I really wanted to get into the middle. For what? Ask me later. Hungarian chocolate cake was good, but I'm sure I'll have to wait some time before mommy feeds me such a great food again.

Outside

I love warm weather when I get to walk around outside and wear no hat and no coat!! Finally. We went to the falls yesterday and saw Zander and great gramma and we all had ice cream and went on the swing and listened to street musician and and and. I had a lot of fun. Also, as you can see on the picture, I got my first pair of fabulous new walking shoes, they are pink and flowery and it's a strange feeling to have them on. So mostly I was just making friends with them in the park while Zander thought he was cool and ran around.. :-)

Daddy feels better, I missed him when he was sick.
