i`m a big girl now

Hey,
This past week was my very first week at daycare! Very exciting times, even though I`m not sure what`s happening lately. Every day we went someplace early in the morning, then mom, dad or gram came to take me home. By that time mommy was already there and we went home. And now, it`s weird because today we didn`t go first thing in the morning (Sat.), but we did go to an adventure to the mall. Anyway. I had a very exciting week, but I was rather shy and it took me the whole week to feel comfortable a little bit. I ate and slept well by Friday and every day when mom read my report card, she laughed and hugged me it made her so glad that I`ve started to feel okay there. She had a hard week too at her new job and that is another thing for her. But now she knows that I`m safe and good there and so maybe she could focus on her work from next week. :)

My favorite thing about daycare is that I`m never alone. No busy mommy on the phone or in the kitchen, no being pushed aside when I`m not supposed to be somewhere. The place is all for me and well, for other babies too. But there are not too many of them, so when I cry and really want something, which happened pretty often so far, I always get attention. This is great. Other kids are friendly, but we didn`t play too much this week. Just getting to know me, err..my crying voice mostly. Harriett is big. She goes over to toddler group shortly. She can walk and has a big belly. Oscar is 1 month older than I am, he is happy mostly, but cries more since I showed him how to do it for real. :) Arabelle and Alexandra are just a little younger than I am, they are okay. Alex likes my mommy, cuz she looks like hers. Now, that is not nice. But thats true that I like teachers who look a bit like mom, so I guess thats not weird of her either. Arabelle is a little younger, but she is huge. Those girls are biiig, chubby, I look small next to them. But: neither one of them can crawl yet, I think they should lose some weight first..:) And there is Alexander, he is also big, he`s the teething champion right now. And the last one is little Odin. He is a happy little guy, only 6 months old, but never cries. His mommy comes the same time mine does and they talk. He is very independent for being almost half my size and age.

I like it there. Janet and EVI are the afternoon teachers, I forgot the name of the morning teachers. They are all great and really care for us, a lot. I think I`ll invite them to my birthday and my buddies too. Time to make friends!

i could do dad's job

looks pretty easy to me

it sounds like he just plays on the computer all day long. i'm pretty sure i could do that, if mom would let me and i didn't get distracted trying to eat all of the cords. (i think i will do better when everything is fully wireless....) dad showed me this cool web site from tokyo plastic that has an animated drum circle and a poisonous plant that eats monster teddy bears. it was awesome, but mostly i thought his computer wasn't as cool as his phone. his phone does stuff when i touch the screen, but i guess you have to use a keyboard for the computer. seems stupid to me. things will be different when i am in charge of the world, i can tell you that. but you knew that already, didn't you? mom and dad did. just check with them if you have any questions. i'm busy trying to figure stuff.

Montessori School YAY!

Hello!
I am going to daycare!
So it started with Mom making the decision that it was time for me to get out and start exploring all the exciting things this big world has to offer. Then making the decision that it was time for her to get out and start exploring all the exciting things a new job has to offer. I also have a feeling we both are ready for the next adventure. Of course it doesn`t mean that we wont snuggle at night just like we always do or get silly together or go for marathon strolls around the lakes...it just means that we`ll start living life like it is going to be when i, the baby is not quite as much of a baby anymore...I am a curious, very busy almost-toddler! I am ready!

Next thing was to find an awesome place, where I`m as safe as it possibly gets, where the teachers are nice and friendly, where the neighborhood is pretty and close and where I can learn while playing. I think I`m eager to do just that!

Evi Noy, Mom`s great babysitter friend from Hungary happens to work at this school and not only is that awesome, but she`s also in the very same baby group where I`ll go to! I think that gives Mom the main reassurance that I`ll be as closely watched and cared for as possible. I like Evi a lot. She says good things about the place and so Mom and Dad signed me up today after visiting it yesterday. I even got to take a peek at the play area and there were cute little buddies all over the room, all my size and playing the same things I like to play. Hm. Nobody ever played exactly the same things I like to play. I think it`s a good sign. They know what I like.

Mom and I will go visit for a longer time period at the end of the month, to get me ready for the big girl thing in March! So exciting, I love when stuff is going on!!

What else? The latest balance is: 3 teeth out, 4th and 5th coming. No wonder my appetite has been down the last week or so!

Doing Everything But Eating!

After not eating for the past few days, Mommy thought that the few pieces of corn puff with cream cheese she managed to stick into my mouth was a real victory.

I have a new trick!

I can climb on to the bed (the whole apartment is pretty much my height friendly, the bed is very low and I don`t get hurt when I used to dive off head first) and once on, I like to climb right back down, only because I can do that too!!! The trick is to slide off one leg real carefully, while still holding on to the cover with both hands. Then when the foot touches the floor, the other one follows and I`m through. This was a great lesson to figure out, because I ended up on the floor too many times. I think all those falls were attempts to get to this point.

Mommy took me outside today for a long walk. She gave me a chance to catch up on last night`s sleep, because I was mostly up all night long...poor Mom had to open my playpen and put me in there, I guess I was that hard to manage. I slept in there a little bit, but only sitting in the corner of the pan while screaming on and off. It wasn`t my next tooth, it just came out. She did try to snuggle with me, but I was not in the mood. I had some important crying to do. All night long.
