oh so busily

Here is what I'm so busy with I don't have time to write on a regular basis:
- i use wet wipes stolen from my diaper changes to clean up the floor in the apartment. The hallway is looking perfect, kitchen's next.
- i love my books. I read at least an hour every day. Or make mom and dad read, over and over. I have stories about snowmen at night, naming animals and objects, spider party, peek-a-book, nutbrown hare, counting book, sticker book, little einstein book and a 'me' book; only naming my favorites.
- i drag and put away shoes
- i spill milk so that i can wipe it all over with my hands (a form of clean up)
- i just simply have to taste every food people eat in front of me.

(mommy is passing out she is so tired, so if you excuse us..will be in touch!)

signaling

Even though I don't have many words yet, here is one thing I already can do: I can sign with my hands. Pretty cool. I started to learn it at daycare, then figured out how to show mommy and daddy what I want at home too. First I thought they were dumb not getting my sign for 'more' when I wanted more reading last night. Then they looked my sign up online and there it was what I meant. Then mom got a list of baby sign language today; I hope she'll be better. Tonight I even put together a sentence, I did the 'more' and followed by 'food'. :-) Who is in a hurry to learn to speak when it's so much more fun?!

Another thing I'm big at is helping. Helping with dvd-s, helping with the laundry basket, helping around the kitchen floor and cabinets, helping with putting shoes away. When I get in the way, mom usually removes me but that really annoys me, she needs to figure out a better way to distract me, which is not easy when I'm on the mission. I also like bringing stuff to people and sometimes I can even understand what they ask for.

Tonight before bed mom and I were reading the picture books and we got to the one of a black coat. Mom said 'kabat/coat', but then I remembered that in the other book there was a word sounded similar, so I looked it up and showed it to her. It was 'kecske/goat'. It might have just been a lucky thing that I found that, but mom was happy and repeated those words to me about a hundred times.

this is summmer

Hello there,
This warm weather I know nothing about is finally here. Sorta unbelievable after all the layers mom used to put on me not too long ago. And now the new thing is this funny looking hat everyone loves on me. I think that's the compromise for not having 5 layers.. having a hat. Anyway. I'm doing great, growing big, but my weight is still not on the chart. :-) I'm barely at 18 lbs, which puts me in the bottom 3 percentile of all kids. I eat so much tho! My favorites are fruits and cooked veggies, cheesedog, gatorade, yogurt, chicken strips and whatever is on moms or dads plate.

I love being outside, strolls and playgrounds. I can run and today I learned to drink from a straw!!! We were at a juice place and that was the only way for me to taste that yummy smoothie they drank. So I did it. I don't see what the big fuss and hurray was that mommy made out of this. And I'm not sure if celebrating this or just because I'm so very cute, but dad got a new pair of robeez for me and 2 very cool pirate onesies. One is pink and the other one is black.

i can hug and snuggle occasionally.
